Our aim is to take all the additional pressure off so you can truly enjoy being a new parent and getting to know your new baby. ⠀
Postpartum Doulas provide non-medical physical and emotional support and household assistance after the birth of your baby(ies). They provide evidence based support to help your emotional and physical recovery from birth and assist you with the care and feeding of your new baby, including breastfeeding / bottle-feeding assistance, bathing, and comfort measures.
A Doula will not take over care of your baby, but assist you in learning to care for your baby’s needs yourself. They assist with family adjustment, including sibling emotions or savouring your new dynamic in your relationship (with your partner, if applicable) and family.
They can provide childcare during the night or for daytime naps so that you can get some much needed rest.
Doulas will also be glad to do some light housekeeping including laundry, household organization and tidying. Many Doulas are wonderful cooks and bakers and love nothing more than preparing home cooked meals to stock your fridge!⠀
DoulaCare will help you to THRIVE in your new role, not just survive.
We offer a wide range of Postpartum support. From a 3 hour shift (to offer tips and tricks or to help you debrief your birth experience) right up to full 24/7 cover over a number of weeks or even months!
You can pick and choose shifts at times that suit you and your family the most.
We often hear "I am a bit nervous about having a stranger in my home". We 100% get this. That is why DoulaCare Ireland are striving to raise industry standards in the doula profession in Ireland.
Prices start from €30 per hour.

All doulas offering services to our clients:
Are Garda Vetted (the first ever doulas in Ireland who were Garda vetted for their work).
Must provide paperwork, references and undergo an interview to become a part of the DoulaCare Ireland team - all paperwork and references are checked by us.
Are fully insured
Must attend a minimum of 3 CPD Days annually
Have access to mentorship
Are trained by reputable organisations
Know their scope - and practice within this, at all times
Are knowledgable, passionate and caring
Keep up to date with evidence based research and skills
Sign up to our Code of Ethics and are WHO Code Compliant
We tailor our services to each individual families needs. We offer bespoke care and support.
You can have open discussions with us before booking in your doula support. This allows you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have to ensure you are happy with your package.
