DoulaCare Ireland is the brainchild of Mary Tighe and Jen Crawford. Mary and Jen are two of the most experienced doulas in Ireland and widely known and respected for the work that they do.
They decided to join forces and bring their skills and knowledge together to create an all encompassing Doula Agency.
Doulacare Ireland work together with over 40 Independent Contractors who can offer birth and postpartum doula support to families around Ireland. They will support you every step of the way as you prepare for your upcoming birth. Anyone using DoulaCare Ireland will have the reassurance that the doulas we represent have all been carefully selected by Jen and Mary because of their training, knowledge and experience. We also check to ensure that these doulas have their own insurance and work under a Code of Ethics.
We are proud to work together with and support a huge amount of small doula businesses and self employed women/people in the work that we do.

DoulaCare Ireland were the first organisation in Ireland to acquire Garda Vetting for the doulas that offer services to clients.
DoulaCare Ireland
Doulas are still relatively new in Ireland. However, over the last few years as the evidence as to how beneficial doulas are has increased, more couples are looking to hire a doula. At the same time there has been a huge increase in the numbers of those training to be a doula. While this means there is now more choice, it can also mean that those hoping to hire a doula can find it quite a task to actually search for and then choose a doula. It can be a daunting prospect. Sometimes it can mean interviewing 3-4 different doulas to get a match that suits you.
Our organisation will streamline this process. With DoulaCare Ireland all doulas that offer support to clients are Independent Contractors and have been hand-picked by DoulaCare to ensure they fit with the ethos of our company.
All doulas we represent have a strict Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics which doulas are expected to strictly adhere to when offering support to clients through our organisation. This ensures that the doulas you will be working with are professional and do not act outside of their remit in their capacity with you.
