Cat Little has always been passionate about supporting families since growing up in a family who fostered babies and young children. After graduating from the National Film School, Dun Laoghaire, Cat worked as a writer and director for preschool TV, but her passion and full time focus turned to pregnancy and birth when she became pregnant with her first baby in 2009. She attended DONA birth doula training in 2016 and went on to train as a GentleBirth instructor. Her own personal experiences of labour and birth include a medicated hospital birth and an unmedicated home birth. Cat decided to become a doula after experiencing uninterrupted support during her second labour. "The labour and birth of my second child was so positive - I felt so safe, so nurtured, respected, and cared for. I feel I learned so much from the support that my birth team gave me, and I'm fully committed to providing that kindness and care to other mums and their partners."
